Holiday at the Mandalay Dinner-Dance, The Omni Mandalay Hotel, Saturday, December 6, 6:30pm

The Fort Worth and North Texas Sections have combined talent and resources and are already working very hard to bring you what we think will be one of the best Holiday Celebrations either section has ever had.  We will celebrate the upcoming holiday season at the flagship Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas. The Omni Mandalay combines the architecture and amenities of a modern luxury hotel with understated Southeast Asian decor, which reminds us of a far simpler, more elegant time, enjoyed not too long ago by those who lived in pre-war Burma.  The hotel is located in the heart of prestigious Las Colinas in Irving, an ideal location for anyone living just about anywhere in the Metroplex. We have reserved the beautiful Enjolie Room, which is downstairs at the Lake Level, from where you can step out to the banks of the Mandalay Canal. 

 

Cost and Signup:  The cost of this event will be $55 per person.  Family and friends welcome.  Cocktails and wine can be ordered at additional cost.  You have 2 ways to pay for the event fee:

Time: 6:30pm to 12:00am (or later).

Dress:  Cocktail, Coat and Tie.  Black Tie optional.

6:30 - COCKTAIL RECEPTION:
Hors d’oeuvres will be served.  Cash Bar.

7:30 - DINNER:  Our 4-course menu will include:
1) Salad:  French Riviera Salad of Petite Greens, Grilled Asparagus, Dried Apricots, Toasted Almonds and Creamy Brie Cheese with Champagne Dressing.
2) Intermezzo:  Raspberry Chambord Sorbet
3) Main Course:  Duet of Potato-Encrusted Alaskan Sea Bass with Basil Beurre Blanc and Tenderloin of Beef with Rosemary Marsala Demi-Glace
4) Dessert:  Bailey’s Chocolate Mousse Cake with Milk Chocolate Buttercream
 

Beverages:  Coffee and tea included.  Wine by the bottle may be ordered at the table at additional cost (plus tax and service charge).  Ask your server for the wine selections offered.  Other beverages will be available at the Cash Bar.

8:45pm - 12:00am (or later):

DANCING, ENTERTAINMENT, PRIZES.

Cash Bar: Open throughout the event for liquor, cocktails, beer, wine by the glass, other beverages.  Purchase your drink tickets from the bar cashier, then present ticket to the bartender.

 

Parking:  Free self-park or valet.  Valet will cost $8-10 plus tip.  You can self-park in the covered parking garage beside the hotel's main entrance, or the covered parking garage across the street from the hotel.

 

Overnight Accommodations:  The Omni is pleased to offer rooms at the discounted rate of $99 plus tax to MBCA members who wish to stay the night of December 6.  Call Darka Cain, reservation manager, directly at (972) 869-5581 to book your room.  If Darka is unavailable, call Marsha Staley at (972) 869-5568.  Say you are with the Mercedes-Benz Club.  Number of rooms are limited so please book them as soon as you can.
