Jim or others:
If I have a technical qiuestion relating to a vintage car, do I post the question under Technical Help or in the Vintage Talk forum?
How are these two forums divided as to subject matter?

Cars up to and including 1972 post your question under vintage. For your '71 use the vintage forum. Makes you feel old doesn't it? :)

Thanks for the explanation. Ha, I'm not sure if your picture test was a success or not! :) Bill Streep says he'll post some stickies to help explain stuff.

This site is awesome compard to the old one. The email notification is great along with the different subject heads. Its just like the other sites i belong to. Which makes me wonder, is this website format something you can buy and customize the icons for your purpose? Because many many clubs, car clubs, pirahana clubs, IQ clubs, etc. use this same exact format except with differnt logos at the top.

Sentimentally, I will miss the old site, but the new forum is so much better, and many thanks to Robert Ackerman and the others, Timothy

Based on the number of posts it seems that most members are still using the old forum format. Is that because they feel the old format is better, don't understand how to use the new forum format, or are reluctant to change and prefer to stay in their "comfort zone"?

Fred
I think it takes time for members to make the switch, and I'm sure there is a comfort level using the existing Discussion List.
I am encouraged when I look at the stats of the new site, and these stats are available for all of us to look at. In the first four days of operation, 99 members have registered, 53 threads have started with 158 posts, and several thousands views. As many as 9 members at once have been logged on. Also, we have discussed very professionally some very complex subjects such as the leaking fuel diesel fuel pump and had some plain old fun posting pictures of us and our cars!
In the same time period the old forum recorded activity in a total of 46 threads, some were new threads and others were responses to previous threads.
Cheers,
Chappy
