C 43 Anyone?

Just wonderin' if anyone else has the pleasure of a C 43. Mine's a '99.

for the day, when my 99 C280 was in the shop. It is a very nice and "speedy" car I will say. Too bad they didn't have one available when I was shopping.

Plenty of C43's seem to be coming up on the online boards for sale, as well as the club sites. I know we have at least one for sale on the www.GWS-MBCA.org, the last time I looked.

The W202 body is a great car (I love my '97 C-280) and with the performance of the AMG package it should be a real hoot to drive.

machine. Made a few mods as you will see below my signature. I just got the recall for the harmonic balancer. The dealer is going to pick up my car on Monday and have it back either Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Just to briefly respond, I have a 98 C43 with 62,000 miles which I have owned for 4 years. Without a doubt it is the most complete all around fun vehicle I have ever owned. It does everything right, and I donot think AMG has put out a better vehicle since then, in a pure non aspirated version.

Most of these cars had a number of problems in the first year or two, but if you maintain them very well, they seem to be just pure pleasure to own and drive. There are always a number of them for sale on ebay. The problem today is there are very few of them that are in excellent condition, and one thing you do not want is to own one of these with a host of issues. And you cannot buy a real waaranty for an older amg vehicle(more than 50,000 miles).

Thought about a C32, until I heard of all the supercharger issues. I think I willl just drive this until I find an equal, which may be a long time coming.
