I write for Mercedes Enthusiast magazine in England, and I have been commissioned by Motorbooks international to write a book in the 'Original' series. It is to cover the W111/2 coupes and convertibles, 220E to 280SE 3.5, and the W108/9 V8 saloons, 280SE 3.5 to 300SEL 6.3.
The book is to be international, and so we need to cover cars that are US only, and US spec cars, as well as the European ones. If you know the Original series, then you will know the quality of cars that we need for photography. The cars are photographed in great detail, so they need to be very clean, and of course, original.
The photographer and I will be coming to the US, but first we need to find the cars! If you have a car that fits the bill, or you think you can help us source the vehicles we need, then please get in touch.
Tom Hanson is being very helpful, but we need all the help we can get!
Having your car featured in a high quality book is the only sweetener we can offer I'm afraid.
