Hello,

We’re from Creative Film Cars in Manhattan. We are the Northeast’s premier provider of vehicles for film, television, fashion shoots, magazines and events.

We are looking for a 1960’s-1980’s Mercedes-Benz hardtop for a photo shoot for a major fashion designer in the following colors: silver, brown, grey, white, cream, or burgundy. The shoot will be taking place near the Catskills, NY (about 2 hours north of NYC) on March 30th or 31st. It is a static shoot for a catalog, and no driving will be required. You will be compensated for your time and the rental, and your vehicle will be fully insured for the duration of the shoot.

Please don’t hesitate to call us at 212-864-4060 if you are interested in participating, and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

To describe more fully what we do:

First, we act as an agent for your vehicle. You supply us with a few photos and we put them in front of our hundreds of clients, and on our online database. When a client selects your ride, we contact you immediately, see if you’re interested, and send you a contract. In most cases no driving will be required. They just have to look the part. You will be paid for the rental and your time.

Second, we act as a caretaker. As a fully licensed and insured company, your car is safe and covered with a one million dollar policy. A CFC representative will attend every shoot to guarantee that everything goes smoothly. At the shoot, you are welcome to stay with your vehicle to ensure that it is treated in the manner, and with the respect it deserves. Location, length of shoot, and use of vehicle are among the factors that determine payment. The moment the shoot is completed you get a check in your hand. Now wasn't that easy?

Additional benefits are increasing the vehicles provenance, value, possible tax write-offs, and seeing your vehicles in print or on film.

Go to http://www.creativefilmcars.com/submit.htm and submit your vehicle. It's really pretty simple. It costs nothing to be listed with our company and your information is protected and will never be shared with anyone. Ever.

For more info give us a call at 212-864-4060 and we will take the time to answer any of your questions, or go to http://www.creativefilmcars.com/ .

Thank you,
Donald and John

Donald and John,

I smell a problem with this post as well as your previous posts on this subject, but just can't seem to pinpoint it.

In a torrent of previous posts in several threads on this Forum, you asked vintage car owners to register their availability on your website, for the purpose you clearly explained.

Assuming your website is as described and some vintage car owners responded, how come you don't use one of the cars that were so registered, instead of making a casting call all over again now for the current project, as if you never asked anyone about this before?

If not enough suitable cars were resistered on your website as the result of your previous efforts, then there is either a problem with your registration process or something else is going on that you're not telling us.

I hope you can straighten me out on this.

Alex,

Thank you for your input and your valid concerns.

We have received several submissions of vehicles from our previous postings, and we did present these options to our client for this job. As our clients' demands were particular in regards to color, and had to be available in the Catskills (2 hours from NYC), we posted on this forum to get some more options to present to our client. We always try to present our clients with several options, so that they can have the exact look for their shoot.

As it turns out, our client chose a silver 1969 MB 280S that we had previously in our database.

Please feel free to check out our website at: http://www.creativefilmcars.com/
You will be able to see photos of this shoot online once it has been completed and put to our site.

As always, please call us at 212-864-4060 and we will be happy to go over any part of the process with you.

Thank you,
Donald

Hello,

Just wanted to post a link to the final product of the shoot, for those that were interested.

The shoot was for Cole Haan, and the 280 S is featured prominently in the catalog.

that was a good way to establish your credibility, Donald.

I repeat my offer: if you need to generate a large cloud of diesel exhaust for one of your shoots in the metro area, the Grey Ghost is available for a modest fee

p.s. did you airbrush the MB star off of the grille of that 280? tsk, tsk
