I'm not sure if it is still available, but I was comparing the W111 crome list with one from the W107 SLC. It looks like the W107 list could be adapted easily. It is just a little longer.

I just spoke to Mercedes today. The rocker panel chrome is still available, however the replacement version is originally made for another model so it must be adapted a little before it fits.

Here in Denmark MB charges around 50 USD for it.
It is the one for the W114/w115 being offered. I am however quite sure that you can adapt one from a W107 SLC as well, by cutting off 2 inches or so.

The last time I checked, the proper chrome for the rocker panels of the W111/112 was about $600 US each for new ones. I have a set of used ones that are repairable and rechromeable. I am having another set rechromed for my 65 220SE Cabriolet. I can let you know how this turns out and if it turns out okay, I can give you the name of the plater that does them. Let me know if you are interested in the used ones. I wouldn't be too excited about modifying ones from another model if you are trying to restore a classic model. Charles Boyd

Sorry, but I failed to notice it was a sedan you were referring to. What I have is for a coupe or cabriolet. Charles Boyd

It looks to me like Mercedes used the exact same profile to make that list on several models back then. So the modified, if done right, would be extremely close to the original.
Coupe or cabriolet is a very different matter....
