I have a 1967 200D wich I love dearly but I am a student and broke and am having a hard time finding a reasonabley priced body shop to replace a crunched fender. Does anyone know of a shop in or near EUGENE, Oregon? Thanks in advance.

Why not just find the fender and replace it yourself? Its not too difficult, just a few bolts. I completely sympathize with you, being a broke student myself.

ok, i actually have a fender to put on the car but it needs to be stripped and primed and all that and it has a few dings and dents. I have zero experience with body work and I didnt want to learn on this car but if it wouldn't be to hard i guess I could give it a shot. any suggestions?

Hi Matt, as a fellow "heckflosser" I must recommend that you do try to save her from rust. The worse they get, the more likely that they will be thrown away. Even if your repair isn't great, you will hinder the rust and the car will survive until you or the next buyer have the means to put it right. These cars are becoming scarce so try your best to kept one more on the road! Good luck! :)

Matt,
I used to live in Pleasant Hill and have a '68 230. There was a guy named Bob Denham (I think) who has an excellent shop near there - I met him a few times when doing my restoration, mostly to ask questions - he was also restoring MBZ's and had one of the cleanest workshops I've ever seen. Unfortunately, that was about 7 years ago and I don't have his contact info anymore, but maybe its possible to ask around or check information...hope that helps you.
