I am a new owner of a 2003 SL55 (Brilliant Silver with a Berry Red interior, in immaculate condition), and would like to replace the standard-issue silver AMG calipers with the red calipers I have seen on the newest SL65. I have had no luck in finding anything on the Internet that doesn't involve painting the existing calipers. I am really looking for the exact same calipers I have on the car with the black "AMG" logo, but in red. Can anyone give me some help on this?

Thanks,
Pierre Villere

As far as I know, the latest SL65 comes with silver calipers.

I looked at the Mercedes-AMG website, and you are right...the calipers on both the 55 and 65 are silver. I was in the factory's Park Avenue showrrom not more than three weeks ago, and they had a 65 on the floor - with red calipers. I just assumed it was stock for 2006. They must have had them custom painted or powder-coated, but they looked sharp.

Does anyone know of a first-class powder-coating or paint shop that could do this work? I am in New Orleans, and things are coming back VERY slowly here. I am really looking for a California-type custom shop that does sharp work...

Thanks,
Pierre
