Time trial at Pocono

I am new to this site.
I was talking to a guy here in Ct about Time Trials.
It sounds interesting.
He belongs to a club called CART www.cartct.com
They do it at Pocono and Lime Rock.
Has anyone done this before or run with these guys?
It sounds like fun.
