The left rear spring on my 2004 E500 sprung a leak. It took the dealer (one that has consistently provided superior service) over a week to get it repaired.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with the Airmatic DC suspension?
I had a leaky left rear shock replaced under warranty on my 2003 E500. I believe the ride modes and the height/leveling are controlled by the shocks, rather than the spring. The dealer had it in stock. (He's a large dealer.)
In general, the dealer says he can get most parts that he doesn't stock overnight from the warehouse in Los Angeles. It may be a different warehouse for your region, but I believe Mercedes tries to provide quick response for most parts.

Pretty much anything in stock in the USA is an overnight away from any dealer.
When Land Rover came to USA they hired Caterpillar to manage their parts operation and it was headquartered in Memphis, the main hub of FedEx.
Overnight is the norm for high-end stuff.
