The Central Virginia Section cordially invites our neighboring sections to join us for a wonderful day on the Rappahannock River on July 8. Our journey will begin at 10:00 AM at Agecroft Hall in Richmond, a 15th century English Manor House which was disassembled and brought piece by piece to the banks of the James River in 1925 as a private residence. After touring the beautiful gardens we will receive our maps and set out on the scenic route to the river. By 12:30 we will arrive at the home of Robyn & Gary Tyer, ready to welcome our other guests. There will be boating, fishing (bring your rod), swimming, croquet, water skiing, tubing and of course, fine dining and making new friends. We have ordered Judy’s homemade fried chicken from the Urbanna Café along with her famous coleslaw, baked beans and bread pudding with vanilla sauce. AND… for the crab lovers, we will have fresh from the river steamed crabs. Your favorite beverages will also be provided, and feel free to bring what you like. Please join us for the rally or simply meet us at Urbanna at your leisure. We will have a professional photographer available for photos of your automobile against a picturesque river backdrop.

Cost is $15.00/person. Please email me for the registration form, or look for it in the forthcoming Central VA Section newsletter.

Cheers,

Justin, Pres. Central VA Section

This is going to be a great event. I'll contact the GWS and VA Sections and determine if they plan to have alternative starting points for members in their areas.

Looking forward to it!

A southside caravan will leave the Lake Wright driving range parking lot at 10:00; will meet peninsula members in the parking lot across US-17 from "the McDonalds" at Fort Eustis Blvd at 10:45 for the drive to Urbanna. By 12:30 we will arrive at the Urbanna home of Robyn & Gary Tyer.

Robyn and Gary Tyer own a beautiful 230SL- the VA section is hoping to get as many 230-250-280-SLs together as possible at this event. And remember, there is the opportunity to have them photographed professionally, en masse or individually.

This is a mid-atlantic regional event with the Greater Washington, Virginia, and Central Virginia sections.

Cheers,

Justin
