Reliable car mechanic in Seattle?

Hi, I have a '78 300D and am looking for a reliable car mechanic here in the Seattle area. Actually, right now I only need an oil change (new to the area) and do not want to pay $100 for one at Phil Smart!! (In Ohio where I am from, an oil change at the Mercedes dealer is at most $50! I couldn't believe $100 here!!) Anyone have any suggestions...just even for something as simple as an oil change? Would be interested in suggestions for a good car mechanic, though, in case something would happen....

Depends on exactly where you are in Seattle area. When I'm visiting my sister in Redmond I use - and recommend - Automeister II in Kirkland. That's on the east side about 30 miles east of downtown Seattle. Address is 12026 NE 85th St, phone is 425-822-5708 Or 866-964-2886. They take good care of me when I'm there.

We are near downtown, just north of capitol hill, so would prefer something in/near the city but would be willing to drive a bit esp. if it needed something more major. Thank you very much for your reply and will keep them in mind if something needs looked at!!
