Does anyone know where I could get the mounting hardware for the early type of headrests? I have the headrests and the hoops but need the mounting escuteons and screws. Also, has anyone retrofitted these into a car that was not delivered with them. What are the must knows and potential pitfalls?

I am searching for a head rest and bows. My coupe is equipped with the escucheons on the back of the seat. I can take a digital picture if that will help. Regards, Tony Wood ('67 250SE coupe).

I asked the classic center, ---> no longer available.
I need some mounts also, another thing,
my friends early diesel fintail with same headrests, have a slightly different mount than the 67 Coupe W111
If there is enough demand these could be re-manufactured from steel and chromed (about $300/set), I believe that they were built from Zinc diecast in order to break away after initial impact protection. They were pioneers on the safety stuff like that. Break-away mirrors, dash pads, flush mount door handles, etc They removed chromed metal from the early W111s dashboards and substituted plastic.http://members.cox.net/bostosh0/P9040002.JPG
