Own a 1985 190E-2.3 with AMG modifications, apparently work done by Beverly HIlls Motoring. Does not have performance enhancements in engine, mostly suspension (lower) and alloy rims, and multiple body (front and rear spoiler) side fairings, and interior (all leather and burl wood dash). It has an "AMG" in relief on the rear spoiler, but I can see from reading a few posts in this forum that there seems to be a distinction between AMGs. Is what I own a real AMG or are those modified by aftermarket companies considered AMG? Car looks sportier and sleeker than ordinary 190E without looking kitschich, and Beverly Hills Motoring records indicate that the modifications were done for an prominent heir. Would be interested in candid comments.
