Hello to all. I just took advantage of Mercedes "fire sale" on the 2006 SL and can't wait to share my experiences with the car with you. I hope it proves to be as trouble free as the CDI which I reluctantly traded in. I'll pick it up next week when the rain finally susides here in the Northeast. :cool:

the car I bought had a sticker of close to $95,000. I bought it for about $81,500.
It has 30 miles on the odo. I consider that a sale and my best opportunity to get into an SL. A comparable 2007 was at least $20,000 more.

Just curious what the deal was with that car and the deep discount in price. 30 miles is like 0 miles. I am in the market for a SL500 and if I could find a brand new one for that price I would definitely buy new. I am in the SF Bay Area in CA by the way. (This is my first post on this site also.) I just sold my Acura NSX and am looking for the SL500 to replace that.

Mercedes is offering a hugh cash allowance to dealers to sell the remaining 2006 SL's. Supply was getting tight when I bought mine a month ago, so I would suggest you act quickly. I believe it was a nationwide campaign. It is a sweet car.
