I have a '64 220b that seems to be overheating. I took the car to Benz Friendz, but $900 later, it's not running any cooler. Now I'm looking for another shop. Any suggestions?
Oh...I'm also around Capitol Hill and wouldn't be that keen on driving out to Kirkland every time the car needs service.

Not too many shops will work on vintage MB's. If you call them and tell them your car model, they will usually send you to Benz Friendz.
If you need to stay in Seattle, I've taken my old MB's to Ravelli Motors on Aurora. I've also taken my 80's vintage MB's to Euro Car Service on Roosevelt. I've had good experiences with both shops and they are easy to get to and back via Metro to CapHill. Euro Car seems to be priced more reasonably.
But I usually take my cars to Mercedes Centrum in Bellevue, off of Bel-Red Road. I also take the Metro back after dropping off the car, but its a two transfer deal to get home.

Did Benz Friendz replace the fan clutch?
How is the idle?
