ATF used as power sterng fluid??

91 420 SEL V8- I opened the the small round container located at the front right side of the engine-which i assume is the power stering fluid refill resivore-it had a red liquid-(looked like ATF) in it.-Is this the power sterring fill container??-And if so do people use ATF as power sterring fluid??-What should I use?

Use regular "McParts" Power Steering Fluid. This is probably a good time for you to flush your system and replace the filter if you don't know when it was last done.
