I have a 95 e320 station wagon that floods at the drivers side floor . The water is coming from aroundand above the exceleration pedal. I assume it is from the AC as I notice it while in operation and high humidity weather. Is there an easy fix (ie. unplug a clogged drain) Please hurry with your recommendation before I drown while driving!

Indeed there is a drain from the A/C box that is likely clogged. Make sure the water is fresh water, not coolant (anti-freeze). It can also be rain water, but unlikely.

Put the car on a lift and look around the transmission tunnel area at the firewall, the rubber drain outlet is small but visible. You can also crawl under the car, but it's more difficult. Poke something up there to clear the drains - maybe a coat hanger? Small test-tube brush?, and enjoy dry feet.

Keep the area under the rear of the hood clean of leaves and debris from now on.

I recently requested info on flooding on drivers side of my 95 e320 wagon, possibly from the ac unit. Well, I took up the carpet front and back of drivers side to find soaked foam and much sufface rust and disentigrading grey rubber floor coating. It is very likely that my wagon will now begin a rapid self destruction all because Mercedes Benz incorperated a stupid little foam and wire tube to drain gallons of water off the ac unit . Secondly, the response I recieved from a web visitor was a nice attempt but totally boooogass! I believe Mercedes Benz has produced some very impressive veheciles both technelogiclly and esthetically but a sorry screwup an ripoff to those trusting in thier engineers. I believe car manufactures need to start to take total responsibilty to anyone who owns one of thier vehicles new or used when a defect occures as result of vacuous attempts.

I believe ......need to start to take total responsibilty..... when a defect occures as result of vacuous attempts.
How about living by example and taking some responsibility for your own rude and vacuous tirade?

Don's advice was not bogus, your response to it was.

The recomendation to clean the drain tube with coat hanger would not have worked nor does leaves and dirt have anything to do with the tube to drain water from the ac unit.
