Does anyone know to rest the Service B indicator on a 2002 C230 kompressor sports coup? I recently bought the car from an independent dealer who did all of the necessary work, but didn't know how to reset.

It reads...."SERVICE B EXCEEDED BY 8900 MILES"
(with 2 pics of a wrench tool in picture)

But the miles have never changed since I've had the car.

If it is like all of them it is in the owners manual, the best idea is to have the oil changed at dealer. They have the correct filter and oil and not that far out on price.

I don;t think they publish the procedure in the C Class, since it's a bit complicated and requires five or six hands.

Call MBUSA at 1 800 FOR MERCedes and they will happily e-mail, fax or mail you a copy of the procedure.
