Hi,

Has anyone here tried installing an Ipod adapter to the factory radio in a W124?

The Crutchfield people say that a gizmo called a "USA SPEC Ipod Interface" will work by connecting to the CD-changer inputs on the Becker radio. It's meant for Honda factory radios but they explicitly state that it works with MB factory radios too. It looks simple enough, but if anyone has experience, I'd like to hear from him or her.

If it works, this would be much better than transferring CDs to cassette tape.

Thanks in advance.

Also, Becker will wire in an aux input for about $100. You lose the CD function, and you have a cable sticking out of the back which you will have to figure out where to mount. I may do this soon because I don't have a trunk CD installed and two of the buttons on my head unit don't work. However, I am also thinking about just replacing it totally with a new radio that already has an aux input on it's face. Dave
