does any know if this sticker is still available either aftermarket or OEM? I just replaced the windshield on my 3.5 coupe and would like to make it more original looking...when I bought the car, it didn't have the sticker, but my low grill cab has one on the drivers side of the windshield, so I'm assuming that the 3.5 coupes came with one originally as well.

When did MB stop using these stickers on A/C cars?

I've noticed on ebay someone selling the signature sticker that goes on the passenger side of the windshield....when did MB start using those stickers?

MB still makes the "Daimler" signature windshield sticker. They cost about $1.25 . The guy on ebay is getting rich off of someone. Your car didn't have this. If I remember, they came out in 1973. Maybe earlier on some models. Your car didn't have this decal. The snowflake decal went away when a/c became more common on Mercedes. Will Samples at S & S imports in Dallas has them. He might still advertise in the Star. I stock the signature decal.

FWIW the Daimler Benz decals as well as all others except government, if they are on the front windscreen, are illegal in Virginia and the inspection stations scrape them off of of cars.

The snowflake stickers (which are actually a decal which is mounted with water) are no longer available from MB.

I was lucky enough to score two of them and I hoard them like gold.

My 1969 300SEL 6.3 has a snowflake sticker. I believe they were found generally on all 108 and 109 cars, which ended production in late 1972.

The white Daimler stickers were NOT found on 110/111/112/108/109 cars and were not used until the early 1970s -- Tom may be right that these debuted with the advent of the 116 in 1973 (model year).

There are also two varieties of the white Daimler window stickers. The original type (no longer available from the factory, to my knowledge) reads "A Daimler-Benz product" across the top. These were used from 1973-ish until around 1993-1994-ish.

Since then, a new version that says "A Mercedes-Benz product" has been used, though it utilizes the same signature. The stickers have different part numbers.

The guy on eBay sells both types, and says they are original.

My 1989 560SEC has a "Daimler" sticker; my 1994 E500 and 1995 E320T wagon have "Mercedes" stickers.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Gerry
