Hi! My husband and I just bought a '97 C280. We'd like to get a repair manual as my husband likes to do his own maintenance whenever possible. However, we're having a heck of a time finding one. Our mechanic says there is no such animal "cuz m.b. owners don't do their own repairs!" Hey, we're not that rich! Any ideas? Thanks, Fiona in Ohio

Call MBUSA at 800-367-6372 and order it on CD . . .

George is correct. It is Part No. P-2700-202-03. It includes Adobe 5 Reader. If you already have Adobe 7, you will have a problem with the "links" feature. The CD is set up with Repair Documents and links to predecessor Repair Documents (jobs that are necessary to complete before the desired job). You can disable the "Display PDF in Browser" feature in 7 and the CD will work, but the links don't. The solution is to note the number of the predecessor jobs, then search the CD (using Windows Explorer, for example). The CD is a good product - I use mine all the time. M-B is just behind when it comes to keeping up with Adobe (although for my purposes Adobe 7 is a dud anyway).
