If (and that's a big if) I can find a 450SEL 3.07:1 differential with ABS, will bolt-in in the place of the differential currently in my 380SE?
Thanks,
Richard

Why not find a 380SEL diff with ABS - better fit - I don't think 116 cars ever came with a 3:07 and ABS . .

Because 380's have 2.47:1 gearing and I want something shorter. I have since decided that 3.07 was too short, and was going to put in the 2.88:1 of a W126 300SD until just now I have been informed that the 300SD has differences in the housing with relation to the half-shafts...so I guess I'll learn to like the 2.47 until I can figure something out.
