I believe a small amount of air got into the cooling system after I changed the coolent. You can hear a faint sound of the coolent coming from under the dash, probably from the heater core. How do you get rid of it? 1989 300E.

keep the reservoir full, and drive it with the climate control on defrost and until the upper vents at the windshield blow nice and hot, then continue for a mile or so, this should get all the air out.

Hey!
That was a pretty neat little trick to eliminate the sound of air in the system!
How did that work? Did the air get compressed, eliminated or what?
Thanks again for your help! Looks like you helped many visitors to this site!

i am always happy to help those in need!!!
the air just gets trapped there, and running the heater will purge it out in to the reservoir
