Hi All,
Can anyone tell me the process of replacing the seals in the roof hydraulics in my 1991 SL500 they leak bad is it a hard thing to replace the seals and what cost would the seals be would I have to buy genuine seals? Many Thanks Steve

no seals to replace, you must replace the entire hydraulic cylinder, there is one on each side above the visors under the cover

i guess i am looking at it from the shop standpoint and potential liabilty involved. if it were my car i would replace the seals, if you decide to, just be sure that the shaft for the cylinger is not scored. i have seen some that were.
