Looking at the Mercedes engine service manual Engines 615, 616, 617, it recomends that for vehicle with automatic climate control, you remove the pull-off plug of the heating water pump, then connect heating water pump to battery using self-made tool, then push DEF button?
I have a 1975 240D 4-speed. I was just going to do a standard drain (radiator and drain plug on engine), refill with fresh water several times, drain, then 50/50 with Mercedes yellow coolant.
I do have a York AC that works. However, I can't get my heater to work. I think I have a change over vacum leak or something.
Thanks,
G Medina
