New 6.9

Hi, been a MBCA member for years but just bought a 1979 6.9, sight unseen. I'm told engine and tranny are great, body is poor. Paid very little, it will almost cost me as much in gas and lodging to go get it from here in NC. Please pray for me. After I pick it up and figure out what all is wrong, I will be asking for help. Seller says suspension stays up but leaks around rear wheels. What should I suspect first? alabassi, if you see this, I bought the 108 seats from you. I need to know who your body shop in Atlanta is that fixed your 280SEL 4.5, thanks. This car is from NY and will need lots of new metal cut in.

I think with what I learnt, you can get this car done cheaply (now that I've found new parts sources).

We need to catch up soon as I will soon be moving out of state.
