When I store my 1964 230SL for 2 months or more) the clutch disc & plate will stick. My Kobota tractor has a lever that keeps the clutch disengaged to prevent the same thing. I am wondering if there would be any harm in trying that on my SL.

I doubt that trying to keep your clutch depressed during storage will work. The clutch is hydraulic and would probably leak down. A better idea would be to try to keep the car dry to prevent corrosion of the flywheel. Try putting a light bulb under the center of the car to provide a little warmth and prevent condensation.

Would occasionally depressing the clutch help?

Would occasionally depressing the clutch help?Yes, if you depress the clutch while shifting gears, while driving. Driving the car is the best thing for it. Have you visited www.sl113.org?
