No heat to floor

Anybody know where the vacuum element is that would be responsible for my not having any heat in my leg room area vents?

Yes, it is in the center of the vehicle, kind of behind the ashtray. (Actually just a few inches left of center). Pull out the ashtray (2 screws), remove the radio (clips I think) and the A/C unit (two black philips screws holding in the wood cover, be careful to not break off the plastic black 'ears' that go on either side of the radio)(I think the A/C unit is then held by screws, i forget).

It is a tight fit in there, but not impossible.

It is likely that the linkage came loose, and the element is just fine. I had exactly that problem, I found the missing screw, found a matching nut in the toolbox, and reattached the linkage (what a pain!) and it still works.

Ok, I actually know exactly the element you're talking about. I've been back there a few times...meh, I'll get to it in the summer (gotten tired of messing around with the same spot so much.
