Greetings from the Frozen Tundra of Suburban Chicago!
Below is a picture of my '69 280SE 111 Coupe. It has A/C, Column Shift Auto, and of course the 2.8L. It is finished in a Dark Green (originally ivory) with a Dark Brown Interior. The car spent the first 33 years of it life in the Los Angeles area so it is very solid. There is nothing better than touring the town with the windows down on a summer night. However, it's currently hibernating as any self respecting, salt fearing, Chicagoan wouldn't subject their toy to these torturous conditions.
I have been a member for 2 years and have to say the new forum format is great! Keep up the good work. And see y'all in the springtime; When, A youngman's fancies turns to thoughts of cars???

Ciao,

Boyd Buck

I think the 111 coupes and convertibles are one of the prettiest Mercedes ever. Nice car!

The W111 Coupes and Cabrios are among the most beautiful cars ever produced. They have a timeless quality about them. Their architecture is pure, elegant, and simple, and their lines will never go out of style. The designer of the W111 car, Paul Bracq, also created another beautiful car, the BMW 6 series (the first generation 6 series, not the current 2004 models).
