The wood trim will eventually come off, but they did stay on for a long time. I am wondering what Mercedes used originally 9 (part number?) and if I can get that to restore the many cars in my family.

I put all the wood trim in a safe place for each car as they fell off. I did not want to put them back on with super glue because that my harm the dash or leave horrible residue. I want the purist way of handling this job.

The adhesive you should use, and I'd bet that modern MB techs would use would be 3M Emblem Adhesive or Super Trim Adhesive. Nothing works better.

Thanks for the advice! THis is a much better solution than the crap I have seen people do to these wonderful cars. I have seen superglue, Elmer's glue, etc. Horrible work!

Is super trim adhesive by 3M strips that are sticky on hoth sides?
