I collect 1/18 diecast Mercedes models. If anyone knows of any new releases let me know. I currently have 43 different models. I also have the Maybach that I purchaced at the MB dealer in Kaiserslatern. It is very well detailed down to the seatbelts. If I can arrange a good display to fit them all in a picture I'll post it.

Me too, Brad.

I am nowhere close to 43 models but I have pictures posted on my website. Have a look if you will:

I have a Revell 1:18 scale model of a W123 230E. I would like to trade it for a Revell 1:18 scale model of a W123 240D. My model is new and has never been been removed from the box. Some tape was stuck to the box and pulled a little of the blue off the outside of the box but other wise it is fine. If I have any option, I am looking for a light colored car since my full size 240D is white.

I don't have any 123s yet. Is that a new release? I'll have to get that one now. I currently have over 70 1/18 models. I am starting to have to spend more to find models I don't have. CMC has very high quality models. I have the 1954 renntransporter and the w196 # 18 streamliner.

I'd like to make a plug for my local die-cast model shop:

Designs in Motion

http://www.designsinm.com/

They aren't your average Kay Bee Toy and Hobby, they are for the dicerning die-cast collector.

The Renntwagon transporters and models with genuine leather seats, and historical race car models in 1:18 and 1:43 galore!

A little premiumly priced, perhaps, but they deliver the rare goods from all over the world, including many of the best and rarest brands. They are holding a W123 for me now. They sent out client emails with updates of their new inventory all the time, so you know when something special you've may be waiting for comes in.

Skip, give it time, there WILL be a W123 wagon, and my guess is sooner rather than later. There wasn't a 1:18 W123 produced for many years, but now one has surfaced. If models for frumpy 1964 Alfa Romero sedans and the like are going to be made, the MB variants surely will. (They have many W201s and many other late model MB's, I have a W210 "TE" in 1:18, the closet thing to a 1st generation MB wagon I've managed to find yet.)

Does anyone know if there is there a model for the 124 wagon?

There are some good models of the W 124 estate in 1:43 scale. Take a look at www.minimerc.co.uk and clic on E Class.

To the best of my Knowledge no-one has ever made a model of the W 124 in 1:18 scale in either saloon or estate. This is a shame but you never know one may come out eventually as with the revel W 123 model.

Thanks for that! I'm going to contact him and see if he can make one in smoke silver to match "Gretchen". :D

Mercedes Benz USA has a huge selection of models in many scales. The full range of W123 cars are available in 1:43. There are a lot of 1:18 cars, 1:24, 1:87, 1:43, and so on. The latest catalog from "the Classic Collection" will be available in a couple of weeks. You can get them online at www.mbusa.com .

Minichamps seem to have gone very 70s with there latest colours.
The latest W 123 estate is brown as is the W116 6.9 and the W 123 saloon is a very nasty green colour. (appologies to any one who owns a real one in this colour)
Still its not all bad as the W123 CE ariving soon looks very nice in a dark metalic red.

I collect mostly 1:18 Mercedes race car models. About 20+. But I have a small surplus of Smart car models to let go if someone is interested.
