Hi fellas!

Kaiser is a unique machine... Its vacuum line arrangement under the bonnet is considerably different from the photos posted by Vince under "...Vacuum101".

Yet using your assistance I did get to isolate and repair a damage vacuum pod on my passenger door lock.

I will try to post a couple of photos. Can anyone see why I have so many more vacuum lines? The only major difference I know about is that Kaiser has dealer installed Euro Bosch headlights, with operational aiming adjusting switch on the front console, leftmost from the sunroof switch.

TIA,

OOps, how does one reduce the size of photo files for posting? Each .jpg I have is about 650KB.

I'm no expert, but have learned a little. If you don't know much about digital photo editing, the easiest way to reduce the file size might be to shoot the photos again if that's possible, with the resolution on the camera set to "TV" which is about 640 X 480- this is usually plenty for web postings. And you can set the picture quality to medium quality or maybe even low quality- these settings require less file space than "high" quality setting, and are usually fine for posting on the web.

Barring being able to re-shoot the pictures, try to crop and/or reduce file size in Adobe Photoshop Elements (but if you're asking how to do this, there's a good chance you don't have Photoshop), Microsoft PowerPoint (search Help for how to insert pictures into PowerPoint, and then search for how optimize the photo file sizes for projection, which is 96 dpi resolution) or try to crop/reduce file size in other programs like Microsoft Paint.

Pics will be helpful, but the 1985 USA cars have about double as many and complicated vacuum systems than the previous models, mostly regarding the emission controls (federal or California, but something else to know about the car being discussed) If someone engineered euro lamps into that model, it could be quite confusing! Are the vac lines for the euro lenses the proper purple color? Otherwise the primary connections described in the diagram should still be relevant, you just have more circuit to contend with. Those small "fork" connectors are one 1985's only, for one thing...as is the blue pressure converter on the driver fire wall.....
