Hello All,
New member here and I need help.
My presant project is a 1966 220SE Coupe. I have the dash panel mostly disasembled and the wood almost out. I was wondering if there is a source for new or reconditioned wood or if I'll need to refinish it myself.
I am aslo looking for original style seatbelts.

Welcome.
Search the forum for "wood", you'll find several posts with sources for refinishing, some at reasonable prices. You can refinish it yourself if you are so inclined, but you do not have to.

I own a 63 220SEb coupe. I called Drew a couple of years ago. He quoted around $2500 to redo all the wood. This price included the replacement of any missing or too far gone parts.

Heritage wood has a good reputation. I have not used them personally yet but I've seen their work on w113 wood and it is excellent. I have no idea how much they would charge for a w111 but I would give them a call.

I have used Drew at Heritage myself and have seen his show quality work. I think his pricing is fair and his turnaround is also within reason. If you do it yourself, you might look at the listing of speakers at Startech to be held in Virginia May 19-12. Sometimes Drew presents a seminar there.

Drew did my W124 Coupe a few months ago.
Incredible job and extremely reasonable, under $400.00 for a better then factory finish.

Unless you really know what you are doing with wood, I would recommend from experience you have an expert refinish it for you. In my case, I removed the trim under the windshield on my 108 with the intent of refinishing it myself. How hard could it be? Then I sanded it lightly and sure enough went thru the very thin surface laminate so that it turned white and would not take the stain in an area the size of a large paper clip. So I took it to a local antique restoration shop. In order to fix the blemish I created, he "painted" new wood color over the blemish AND carefully brushed in new grain. Next he applied a number of stains to match the dashboard fascia (which on my car is fortunately still perfect), so as to completely hide the blemish. The result is beautiful. The cost was $200 but only because I screwed it up in the first place.
This was my experience with good wood. If you are not sure about your wood, I recommend an expert even more.
Good luck, Sandy
