I have recently visted a local Mercedes dealrship in Dayton,Ohio. I needed apart for my W 124. I live in the Colubus,Ohio market, but I work in the Dayton area. So I called around. The part in Dayton was @ list price of $8.00 with no MBCA discount. In Columbus they wanted $ 16.00 but would give a MBCA discount 10% for a total $14.50. Now that doesn't sound like a lot of money, but it will cause me to shop around for my parts from now on. I wonder if all parts are priced the same. 1 dealership sells for 2x list while others just get the list price. My radio needed to be re-code-ed and they both offered to do it for no/charge,and that was unexpected. At least they were not after every penny I have ! The service Mgr at both stores were great to talk to.

1987260e: kindly provide some contact information for these shops. If they're both dealers, your post will be deleted as the purpose of this forum is to recommend independent shops.

From these statements, it sounds like he was talking about MB dealerships.

I had my IP seals replaced by Waren County Diesel and they did a nice job.
