Rubber gasket/molding...

Where are there detailed instructions/procedures to accomplish this task?

Where to buy the gasket? Any recommendations?

Is this better left to a pro?

Had the windshield replaced on my 300CD this week. The windshield was showing sand blast common to a 22-year glass.

Windshield: PPG $295 installed (OE same supplier = $795)
Gasket: $165 OE (240D is cheaper)
Aluminum trim: ~ $150 OE
Benz Windshield sticker: ~$2.00 OE

Looks great. Did the same job on my 240D. Love it.

I have to agree. If you need to ask how, you're best not doing it. The pros will do it betterfastercheaper always.
