How do I determine if i have a db2 or most system? I am looking at the dension gateway 500 to install in the car, has anyone done this?

Your car definitely has a fiber optic audio system installed, and it likely is a MOST system instead of a D2B system.

You have D2B. I know because I have a 2004 SL500. The 2005 and new has MHOST. I am thing about getting that product for my 2002 SLK320.

By the way do you have the MB Extended Warranty contract for 2004?

Its amazing that mercedes has their own set up for ipods, its less expensive than the gateway500,does include some 2004 models, but not the sl 500. Thanks for your response

If the 2008 SL550 does not a IPOD adaptor, I am getting this product.
