Hi All
Really happy that this SIG is up and running. I look forward to reading and trading info about our wonderful cars. I am especially interested in trading info about the 93-94-95 Cabriolets.
AT this time I would like to thank all the moderators that give there time to this great forum.
Happy driving.

OK, Joe, I work 80-90 hours per week... Yet I find the time to run the 190SL Group Forum and I'm one of the webmasters for the Group, and I volunteer my time here as a moderator on a number of Forums. I've just told Robby to sign me up for this one, since no one else will take it, and I own a 124. Moderating this Forum takes about 45 seconds per day... At the most.
Yes, it's 12:21 am, and I still have 1.5-2 hours worth of work to do. And I'll be back at it again at 7am.

My '87TD's door panels are peeling. By that I mean the vinyl is lifting off the door pockets and on the rear right door, is lifting up at the top of the door panel. Has anyone repaired this, what I am assume is a common problem. The only problem I have with the interior of my W123 is the usual cracks in the dash, *#*#*#*# blue color.

Richard, this one was covered recently in the Tech forum - I'm going to try this on mine:

Interesting. The vinyl is rolling off the door pockets on my '94 E320 also.

My 94' didn't peel, but my 95' has. My 91' has yet to peel. Seems isolated.
By the way, what does it mean to "moderate".

When I first read "peel" in your reply I thought your were referring to the tires. Anyway, back to your question about moderate.
Moderators are notified by email of each new thread and are expected to read it and if needed reply or help find a resource to questions. Also they check whether the question is in the correct forum and if not they can move the thread to the proper forum. If flaming erupts the moderators can delete inappropriate replies and block a user from posting to this site. Some of us have this hangup about misspellings of words like gauge showing up in the Subject line as guage and will correct it. :)
We like to have several moderators for each forum. Would you like to help? I see you are in northern Virginia. We are having a mid-Atlantic Region MBCA leaders meeting Saturday April 24th in D.C. and you are welcome to attend.

Just to clarify. Spell it GAGE, spell it GAUGE. Just not GUAGE.
The moderator's job for a forum like this is even simpler than Robby outlined. You should review each NEW thread, to make sure it's appropriate and in the right forum. If someone has a problem that doesn't get answered, it might be helpful if you could direct them. The singles biggest "problem" area that can take up your time, is if a flame war breaks out. On the couple I've been involved with, it CAN get minute-by-minute. But, I just don't see that in a SIG Forum like this.
As a moderator, you get notified for each new thread via email. General practice should be to check on line once a day. After Robby, I probably have the most to moderate. I don't have much spare time, and this takes me maybe 5 minutes a day on average. And I have one of the 2 tough forums (Tech and General Discussion are the two big ones).
