Alarm for Convertible

I am wondering what kind of alarm you have or would suggest for a '93 300CE Cabriolet? I would like to try and protect the car as much as I can. Even if the top is down, I would like to have some sort of an alarm system.

Not sure I understand what you are after. Mercedes cars have a built-in anti-theft alarm system that protects even the radio. It works whether the top is up or down. Perhaps a review of the feaures in the owners manual would suggest some additional features you may be looking for.

Just by luck, after reading your reply, I put my owner's manual back in my car, locked the trunk and saw the alarm light light up. I have never seen that before during the 8 months I've owned this car. I will test it soon to make sure it does work the way it is supposed to. Thanks for your help.
