After a few mercedes benz club autocrosses, i am looking to join the SCCA and participate in the SOLO2 autocross events and i was wondering if anyone had any experiance with SCCA in a 124 and knew what class it would fall under

That's a very good question.. It reminds me of an SCCA Solo 2 event I went to in 1978 in a 6.3 sedan. They put me in some weird class of production sedan way the heck over 3 liters. It did quite well too. The 4.2 (?) Jaguars didn't stand a chance.

Wow, i can bet they didn't stand a chance! i've seen a 6.3 absoutlly destroy a BMW 530i in an autocross. i was hoping they would put me in a lower class than say a 190E 2.6 since i was easily beaten by one due to its better handling. If i recall correctlly, the 190 is considered G stock

I have been racing my 1989 300E in local SCCA Solo II autocross for years. The car in stock form is placed in H Stock class.
Go to SCCA web site for classes
