1995 E420 -- I can shift from park without depressing the brake pedal. Is this normal for 124's? The owners manual says you should and I do, however, my 210 wouldn't leave park without putting your foot on the pedal.

The transmission was replaced by a local MB dealer 2 years ago so I'll follow up with them.

Was in your city last Tues & Wed for company meeting. Stayed at La Cantera and played the Palmer Course -- WOW what a great place.

Also, got 24 mpg on the 420 at 75-80 mph over and back from Houston.

I've played it twice - I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it!

It's a safety feature, not sure it's that big a deal. I think there's a switch involved.
