A DIESEL!!!!
Whoa is MB to allow them to sneak in the back door with a lower priced car of alternate fuel using.
Let's pray it ain't so for what will it do to the resale prices of our machines?

GG is NOT for sale, so a drop in 2nd-hand prices don't make no never mind to me

if older MB diesels DO drop in value, I'll buy another couple of 'em...I'm on the hunt for a well-loved 124.193 for me wife (that's the six-cylinder diesel, reputed to be smoother and quicker)

no "rice burners" for moi...they lack CHARACTER, don't you know?

If everyone goes for a Honda diesel maybe I can get a pristine real low mileage 300CD at a more reasonable price. If so bring on the honda.

VW's diesel hasn't set the world afire probably partially to the diesel's bad rap from GM & many people think they are noisey, smell bad, get diesel fuel all over you when filling up.

There are no used M/B or VW diesels for sale in the Houston area.
The dealer,Starr Motors, where I bought my '85 123133 used in '87 said to me, that they hadn't had one in over a year.
He offered to buy my 300DT at an inflated price I thougt.
Let's not go around selling our cars of CHARACTER, where would we buy another one egual in quality and personality?
