it's amazing how fast my car gets dirty, especially the front wheels. I simply can't believe the amount of brake dust that accumulates (and so quickly!)

Since I just waxed the hood, roof, and rear deck, I don't want to run GG through the "brushless" car wash. Thank GOd she's silver!

So she runs dirty until I get the time to attend to her...I'm seriously considering a set of KleenWheels for both sets of tires. It's either that or switch to harder, non-OEM pads.

It seems perverse that KleenWheels are recommended in those situations that do NOT naturally produce a lot of brake dust (mainly highway driving with no "panic" stops). Here in the NE corridor, your commute isn't considered complete without a couple of panic stops.

And so it goes...

Wax the heck out of the wheels and clean them with a mild car wash solution after the initial major scrub down, and they will stay fairly clean. You'll be able to dust off the brake dust. I won't get in the middle of the dust shield argument anymore. I know they just don't work for me.

I have been washing brakedust off of family cars since I was a kid and now my own, even do the folks car now and then, guess what... I've just gotten better at it, ha ha!

Allen;
You're ever so right.
Anything you can use to make it easier use it.
I'm like Tom and don't want to get in the middle of Brake Shield, Kleen Wheels discussion again.
THEY WORK FOR ME!
