I note that the 123 Forum is the leader (by sheer # of posts) among the Special Interest forums, and one of the top ten MBCA forums. Our members are stalwarts of the Diesel Discussions forum as well.

I believe it has a lot to do with the CHARACTER of our machines. There's nothing sweeter than the purring of that five-cylinder heart. I don't know if 123 forum participants have more fun driving their cars, working on their cars, or blowing hot sooty air on the forums!

I dared Don Swinford (Chairman and Founder of the 123 Character Club...all drop to one knee when his name is mentioned) to post a digital picture of his beloved Donka II...let's see if his tinkering skills extend to photography!

Hey Skip, I see a 1985 300TD wagon with 107k miles , one owner on ebay near you up in rhode island. It looks good.
Aside from the character of the 123's there are also the shear numbers of them !

I want to get a W123 sedan and stuff a new OM628 engine under the hood (V8 Diesel from Germany). What a sleeper that would be.

but here's what I think you should do:

take some snaps of Donka with one of your fancy Teutonic cameras (I usually use a cardboard disposable meself)

go on down to the photo shop and have them develop the film onto a CD (get a reference print sheet as well so you know which shot you'd like to post)

then go to the MBCA Forums and follow the instrux for uploading

I'm certain a man of your talents could manage...

Hey Tom, will that OM628 fit in my '83? I would like to see the faces of the SL owners when I almost match their times on the track. I could dream can't I ???????

Congrats on your appointment to the Officers Position of the one and only 123 Character Club.
