450 SLC Engine Temp

What is normal operating temp for 450SLC engine. Mine runs at around 175-200F.

What year is your car, how many miles, etc. Cooling system flush migh be in order. Check your fan clutch, and try to find out if it has a genuine MB water pump on it. Some aftermarket pumps make the car run hotter. Check your thermostat too.

I own a 350SL and I had to get the radiator flushed a couple of months ago, and a respectable mechanic in San Antonio told me that the operating temperature of this cars is 182 ºF.
If your car does not increase the temperature under hard climate or driving conditions, then your car is O.K.
