hood scratches

Anybody Know of a good way to help the apperance of hood rock sratches.Do any of those products advertised to get out scratches really work or are they just bull.If you know of any product or good ideas I would appreciate it.

If You are looking to touch up stone/rock chips ..I Would use the factory touch up paint and use a different way to apply the paint..make sure its CLEAN...Then apply the paint..The Brush that comes with the factory Touch up paint is too big! Try a Paper match and cut the end at a 45..to apply the Paint...Then Use a Product called Langka...http://langka.com/
It will smooth out the touch up! It Works Great I Have used it for years!...

If You want to remove scratches ...One must Inspect the scratch to see how far down it is ...Is It past the clear coat or all the way to the metal?
a Decent polish will help on a surface scratch...If Past the Surface you will need to apply some touch up paint to help hide the scratch..then apply LANGKA...Great results!

Swirls and scratches that do not penetrate the paint into the undercoat can sometimes be cured or minimized by first using a light abrasive on them such as "Scratch Out", and then unsing a glaze or glaze-containing product such as Meguires NXT liquid polish. I've also seen "Liquid Glass" produce great results for this problem.

dings from rocks. Mercedes uses a water base paint, which is not as tolerant of rocks and other debris hitting it. Mine got so bad around the grille area especially, I had the hood and top of both from fenders repainted with a non waterbased paint. $525.00 including fixing a couple of dings.
