My receptionist gave me the best present today!
A couple weeks ago, she asked to borrow Little Jerry....and told to not ask any questions why.
Now I know! This is the best present I've ever gotten!
Woo-hoo!! Go 123's !!!!

docphiliowa;
Tell me how you sent the picture over our forum.

The picture was a digital pic taken with a Nikon CoolPix camera, then saved on my computer hard drive.
When you post a message on these boards, look for the "Attach file" section, click on the 'Browse' thingy, and find the picture you want posted on your hard drive.
(See pic)
If you can't figger it out, ole buddy, I may just have to drive out and show you how to do this. (I'm always looking for an excuse to drive Little Jerry! :) )

Hi All, Its Al cooper in PC limbo again. Boy the pictures are really great. I got the grill badge for Xmas. Now all i need is some good weather, my camera, a good wax job + a scenic view & I'll try to have something similar to your composite picture-mural. Its really neat.

You get in Little Gerrie and drive on down to Spring Texas.

docphiliowa;
Well I tried it YOUR WAY and my previous way.
Notice the max file size 102.4Kbytes.
The smallest file my Nikon will make of Donka II is 137Kbytes and that is on Basic sizing, the poorest image quality.
TOO BIG!!!
Is there someone who can make a Nikon CoolPix 900 make a poorer quality image; HELP

from the 'Old Geek' in Houston (currently have two 1984 300TD Turbos both over 200K miles) :
1st suggestion - check you picture file type, usually jpeg is the smallest type. Not sure what your Nikon software uses as it's default, but if it's gif or bmp then the resulting piture will be significantly larger than the jpeg (or jpg) format..
2nd suggestion - on your PC; do you run with Windows XP? If so then you can take the 137K pic (of Donka II) into the XP accessory program called Imaging, then select Tools, then bring up your picture of Donka II, then select Smallest file size (this should reduce your file size to under 100 Kbytes).
Hope this helps - If not maybe I can offer some other suggestions if you give me some more Info..

Thanks All;
I will go deeper into the operating mode of both the Nikon and Windowand see how to reduce the file size. There must be a way and with the help from concerned friends on the forum I'll make it ( I hope).
I'm so happy to see more Beep Beepers on our Forum.We have them from all shores of our Beautiful Country, the good ole U.S.A.
