Dear Learned Dieselers,
My near-pristine 85 300TDT developed a leak this weekend, noticed only after a 2 hour interstate drive.
The oil does not smell like diesel and is dripping off of the suspension's lower contol arm about 6-8" forward and inboarad of the right rear wheel.
I have been told in the past that the rear pinion seal had a bit of weep, but I don't think it's that. Could it be oil from the auto-leveling system?
I'm trying to get an appointment with my service guys and would really like to have an educated guess in mind before handing the car over.
Would anyone like to venture a guess?
Any thoughts will be very much appreciated.
