Hi 124 experts!
In my 1990 300E the passanger side air bag was optional and I don't have one. With removal of the glove box, can a recycled one be installed in that space? I know that the air bag controller is under the radio - saw it when I wired in my CD changer. Does the original controller have a spot to plug in the passanger air bag? Haven't remover the radio again to look. Guess I would need clips, etc to secure the module in the opening. How about it Tom, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since MB only uses one type of controller for your car, a passenger air bag should plug into it. When you get the bag, make sure you get all the mounting parts, retainers, spacers and cabling, including the plugs and things under the passenger flooring (forward portion). Then, if your passenger restraint system is air bag capable, you should be well on your way to finding out what else you need. My limited experience is based on replacing the A/C evaporator in a 95 E300D. Studying the CD for your car may yield some additional clues.
