My TD got whacked during a freak Little Rock snowstorm over the holidays. I wasn't driving (thankfully I was abroad so couldn't get too mad) but anyway, it appears to be a rather light hit depsite the loud noise it made. Jerk in a Grand Cherokee didn't understand that her beloved 4-wheel drive really wouldn't help her stop. . . but I digress... and she left incorrect insurance info... but I digress yet again... (what is WRONG with people??!?!)
Anyway, I am looking for suggestions for auto body shops in VA, and maybe a supply of parts. I'll post a pic when I get a chance-mainly the tailgate, bumper, right taillight are smoked.
Thanks for letting me rant and rave. By the way, my gf's childhood friend is on the Little Rock police force, so we got her correct insurance info
:D
Cheers,

Everything is still available from MB for this collision repair. Try a dealer, like Caliber Motors. They advertise in the Star.

Good luck.

Re body shops, are you in Northern Virginia? I hit a guard rail (ice) on I-64 and am taking my car to a small shop on King Street in Hampton.

Sorry. I didn't recognize your handle. I'm not familar with the shops in your area. You might ask a friend at Brown MB who they recommend.
Susan and I plan on making it to the luncheon at Ashville. We'll be coming from Raphine. I look forward to seeing your big V-8 again.

I think it was around midnight Dec 19 that I went into the guard rail about 1/2 mile past the rest area just west of Richmond. That was the day it rained and then the temp dropped to 10 degrees.

R-
Was that the 16 valve that contacted the guard rail? Look forward to seeing you and Susan at the brunch. Alas, I have sold the big v8- sad, I know.
See you soon-

Yes, looks ugly, but still drives fine. The front spoiler is hanging on with black wire ties!

The 1st estimate: $2100
New rear bumper, rub strip, taillight and repair the liftgate. To replace the liftgate is another 700 for the new part alone (but hey, it isn't my money!)

I'm looking at about $1,700 labor and I haven't totaled up the parts yet. :(
